Material characteristics of test fixture plate
Release date:2022-03-28

As a well-known enterprise that designs and makes all kinds of fixtures and sells tools and related consumables required for testing, it has strong competitiveness in the industry. Our company adheres to the advanced concept and focuses on production efficiency and quality! This is an introduction to the material characteristics of the test fixture plate, so that you can have a new understanding of the fixture material and have a better understanding of our company.

The plates of the test fixture are generally made of epoxy resin and plexiglass. What are the main characteristics of the smelters of these two materials?

First, the epoxy resin board is opaque. If there is a problem with the fixture, it is more difficult to check. The temperature difference deformation of other plexiglass is larger than that of the epoxy resin board. If the test density is very high, the epoxy resin board shall be accepted. The selection of plates and the accuracy of drilling play an important role in the accuracy of the whole test fixture.

Secondly, for the general fixture with a probe hole diameter greater than 1mm, the plate is mostly plexiglass, which is self-made at the cost of plexiglass. At the same time, plexiglass is relatively soft, and the combination of expansion and contraction probe sleeve and hole is precise when drilling. Because plexiglass is a transparent fixture, it is not easy to check problems.

However, the general plexiglass is easy to melt and break the drill bit when drilling, especially when the drilling hole diameter is less than 0.8mm. Similarly, the epoxy resin plate is usually accepted when the drilling hole diameter is less than 1mm. The epoxy resin plate is not easy to break the drill bit when drilling, and its toughness and rigidity are good, but the cost is more expensive, The epoxy resin plate does not expand or shrink, so if the drilling hole diameter is accurate, it will cause looseness between the probe sleeve and the hole and swing.

There is an improved plexiglass, which has the advantages of small deformation and high temperature resistance. The 0.6mm drill bit with a thickness of 5mm can drill through the non-stop drill bit. The cost is slightly higher than ordinary plexiglass but lower than epoxy resin plate. It is a very good choice for the base bracket of the fixture.
